The treatment and intervention unit provides free counseling by licensed therapists and substance abuse counselors.  General counseling services includes six to eight sessions focused on individual, couples, and family counseling.  General counseling focuses on a wide variety of challenges and problems faced by Marines, Sailors, and their families.  All counselors have received specialized training in working with military members experiencing combat stress .

The Family Advocacy Program provides intervention and treatment services to families who are at risk for or are experiencing violence in the home. Treatment is not limited to eight sessions and can involve referrals to other resources in the civilian and military community.

Substance Abuse Counseling involves the assessment of active duty or their adult family members who are dealing with issues of drug and alcohol usage.  The program includes assessment for drug and alcohol problems and early intervention briefs, outpatient and intensive outpatient services for those with alcohol problems. In addition referrals are made for inpatient services and treatment for drug abuse or addiction as needed.
