Can I put my child on a waiting list before he/she is born?
Yes, unborn children can be put on a waiting list with the anticipated due date. Parents must update when the child is born and provide name of sponsor, child's name, birthday and verify contact information. It is up to the parents to update the information every three months or you will be removed from the wait list.

Who is eligible to use the Child Development Center?
Eligible patrons (sponsors) include military personnel and DoD personnel. |
How are fees determined for care?
The fee scale is based on guidelines established by the Department of Defense. These fees are paid in advance, on the 1st and 15th of each month. Fees are based upon total family income using the service member's most recent LES and the last two most recent pay stubs for the spouse will be used to verify income for non-military personnel.

Do you offer priority to single parents?
Yes, we have three catergories for priority, as follows:
First Priority: will be given to children of single/dual active duty personnel, active duty with working spouse, active duty with spouse attending school full time. (proof of registration required), single/dual DoD personnel, DoD personnel with working spouse, DoD personnel with spouse attending school full time (proof of registration required)
Second Priority: be given to active duty military and DoD civilians with non-working spouses.**
Third Priority:
will be given to all other eligible patrons to include active duty reservists, reservists during their inactive personnel training, retirees and DoD contractors.
** When we offer a full time space to any child in second priority and the spouse is unemployed, they will have 30 days to provide proof of employment or proof of registration as full time student or their child (ren) will be disenrolled from the program. Also, if a spouse becomes unemployed at any time they will have 30 days to acquire another job or register as a full time student. Proof of employment will be checked bi annually. |
Does the New River CDC provide hourly care?
Yes, we provide drop-in hourly care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years Monday - Friday. Cost of hourly care is $3 per hour, per child. Please be advised that due to the demand for care, the infant hourly care services are very limited. Fees must be paid at time of drop off and patrons are required to pay for all hours reserved even when dropping off after the reserved time or picking up early. How do I withdraw my child(ren) from the Child Development Center?
Patrons must withdraw their child(ren) two weeks prior to their last day (no later than the 1st for the 14th of the month to be your last day and no later than the 15th for the 30th/31st to be their last day). This is required for disenrollment or PAYMENT WILL BE CHARGED. |
